Workshops are offered on a variety of topics throughout the year, led by Guild members and renowned craftspeople from interstate and overseas.

General information

Workshop Location and Information

Unless otherwise stated, workshops are held at the Guild premises:

Address:
196 South Road, Mile End
(Two blocks south of Henley Beach Road)

Enrolment:
Early enrolment is encouraged to ensure a seat.

Parking:
Free parking is available in the Guild’s parking lot at the rear of the premises, accessed via Lurline Street.

Public Transport Options:

  • Regular bus services from Adelaide city centre
  • Nearest railway station: Mile End (15-minute walk from the Guild)

Workshop fees
  • Guild members: $30 (half day), $50 (full day)
  • Affiliated group member: $35 (half day), $55 (full day)
  • Others: $40 (half day), $60 (full day)

When required, the materials fee is payable as listed directly to the tutor or when paying for the workshop.

Half-day workshops include two-and-a-half hours’ tuition plus a break; full-day workshops include five hours’ tuition plus breaks.

Masterclass fees: These sessions are given by professionals, frequently from overseas, and generally take place over several days. Unless specified, the price is $350 per workshop for HSWG SA Members.

Refunds

Workshop Cancellation and Booking Policy

Cancellation Policy:

  • If you need to cancel after paying, you may receive a refund minus a $10 admin fee if sufficient notice is given and someone else can take your place.
  • If the Guild cancels a workshop, you will receive a full refund via direct transfer.

Online Booking:

  • A credit card is required for online payments using the Pin Payments system.
  • To book a workshop, contact the workshop organiser by email at hswgworkshops@gmail.com. A one-click link to pay by credit card will be emailed to you.
  • You must contact the organiser before your place can be confirmed.
  • Note: All electronic payments will incur a processing charge of 1.75% + 30 cents (approximately 85 cents on a $30 payment, $1.20 on a $50 payment, etc.).

In-Person Payment:

  • You may still pay in person at the Guild, subject to seat availability.
