Awards are made in the following categories
Service: for extended periods of excellent service in any area of responsibility.
Teaching: for excellence in teaching skills and the support, encouragement, and extension of others.
Craftsmanship: for excellence in craftsmanship.
A member is eligible to receive an award in more than one area, but no person can receive more than one award per year. A member cannot be awarded the same award within five years.
No more than one award per year in each area shall be awarded; however, under exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the Guild Committee, more than one award per year can be given. Awards will be made at the May meeting each year.
Recipients of the award receive an appropriate badge, i.e. Service, Teaching or Craftsmanship.

Nominations must be submitted to the Guild Committee on the Guild Birthday Honours Nomination Form attached below.
The nomination form provides details about the awards.
When are nominations due?
Nominations must be presented to the Committee by the March Guild meeting each year.
Nominations can be emailed, personally delivered or posted to the Guild (PO Box 163, Torrensville Plaza, SA 5031.
What happens after a nomination has been received?
Once a nomination is received, the Guild Committee will research and validate whether the nominee deserves the award. Award winners will be chosen from the nominations received and announced at the Guild’s Birthday meeting in May.
